Our Diet Perspective
It is true! The team member's at Finding My Psych are vegan. Let me explain why:
We approach the field of Positive Health Psychology from a holistic perspective. This means that we approach change from a bio-psycho-social-spiritual perspective. Each are intimately connected - If you change one, you change them all!
Diet has a massive impact on wellbeing. In fact, we believe that in terms of fitness, diet is king. It is the one element you can change with the most impact on wellness outcomes.
With all that said, we do not believe diet should be driven by principle. Our wellness approach at Finding My Psych builds on the work by Dr. Dean Ornish. As a cardiologist with a substantial background in medical research, Ornish's work supports the positive effects of a plant-based diet for reversing heart disease. His work also connects a plant-based diet with positive outcomes in emotional wellbeing and weight management.
