In the article, "MAF Training Challenge - Improving Endurance and Fat Adaptation," I committed to changing my approach to running in an effort to increase my klicks per week and my aerobic functioning. I also wanted to see if it resulted in an increase in fat burn. To measure the impact, each week I reviewed the following:
- Total Distance (Km)
- Average Pace
- Average Heart Rate
- Maximum Heart Rate
- Resting Heart Rate
- Change in Weight
I also provided a detailed set of overall observations that included the thoughts I was having about MAF training, the courses I rant, etc.
You will see that I was unable to stick to the 30 day commitment.
How About You?
Have you attempted our MAF challenge? If so, what were your impressions? Were you able to stick to it? If so, how? From your perspective, what are the costs and benefits of the MAF method?
